IMO Serves Its Community this Holiday Season

The holiday season is in full swing and the IMO family has served its community through two initiatives this year – Shoes for Orphan Souls in support of Buckner International and an Adopt a Family Program through The Family Place.
“Shoes for Orphan Souls, a ministry of Buckner International, has distributed more than 2.0 million pairs of new shoes to vulnerable children in the United States and to orphans in 74 countries around the world. Established in 1879, Buckner has been working to improve the lives of children by providing humanitarian aid, transitional living and foster care services, domestic and international adoption, and support programs for children living in orphanages.” Read more at www.shoesfororphansouls.org.
With the help of Billingsley Company, IMO placed pick-up boxes at three locations November 7-December 2, 2011. Thank you to everyone who contributed – because of this outreach effort, dozens of orphans around the world will be impacted!
The Family Place is “the largest family violence service provider in the Dallas area reaching out to thousands of victims of family violence each year with award-winning programs that keep women and children safe.” Read more at www.familyplace.org.
The Adopt a Family initiative gave IMO the opportunity to provide gifts for a family of five. Each department contributed and we are grateful to extend time and resources to both organizations.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
